House Glenmore is a noble house from the Rills in the North of Westeros.

History[]

Their ancestral home is at Rillwater Crossing[1] in the Rills, swearing fealty to House Ryswell. They have been allies of House Forrester since before the War of the Five Kings, and the alliance remains to the current day. Elaena Glenmore, eldest daughter of Lord Glenmore, was also betrothed to Rodrik Forrester before the war broke out. According to Master Ortengryn, the Glenmores have cousins on the Riverlands.

At the name day feast of Lord Glenmore's son, Rodrik Forrester and Elaena Glenmore danced "until the sun came out."

Elissa Forrester says that House Tyrell holds influence over the Glenmores, though of what nature is unknown, Elaena herself mentions that Margaery Tyrell has never written to her personally.

Game of Thrones[]

The Lost Lords[]

After news of Rodrik's survival reaches the Glenmores, Elaena quickly sets off to Ironrath to pay her respects to his family, the Forresters hope that in securing Rodrik's betrothal to Elaena, House Glenmore's army will become oathbound to Rodrik, giving the Forresters the strength necessary to retaliate against the Whitehills. However, in light of the Red Wedding and the deaths of Gregor and Ethan Forrester, Elaena and Lord Glenmore aren't fully committed to the betrothal. Rodrik either secures the marriage or is unable to, losing the betrothal.

The Sword in the Darkness[]

Duncan Tuttle mentions that Rodrik either gained the aid of the Glenmores or lost it. Royland Degore also mentions if you gained their help that their forces aren't available to the Forresters until after the wedding.

Sons of Winter[]

Elaena and her brother Arthur Glenmore visit Ironrath, to discuss with Rodrik on matters of Gryff Whitehill, who is now betrothed to Elaena after Lord Ludd Whitehill threatened Lord Glenmore with destruction unless Elaena marries Gryff, which Glenmore agreed to. Elaena asks that Rodrik aid them in taking down Gryff, and in exchange the Elite Guard of House Glenmore will be his to command. The guard helps Rodrik imprison the Whitehill Garrison of Ironrath. Rodrik can bring the Glenmores to Highpoint, or leave them to defend Ironrath.

Upon returning to Ironrath, with the guard, Ironrath is found abandoned. Arthur begins a search for his sister. If Rodrik did not bring the guard to Ironrath he will instead find arrows and puddles of blood, indicating a battle.

A Nest of Vipers[]

Ramsay Snow flays Arthur Glenmore and sends the guard home. Elaena becomes very distraught at this. Rodrik can comfort Elaena, either letting her rest by herself or join her. If you join her, later in the episode, Elaena will be in Rodrik's bed. If you let her rest, Rodrik states she can stay at Ironrath as long as she likes.

Military Strength[]

There isn't much information on the forces of House Glenmore, but it seem that they have not been majorly affected by the Red Wedding, implying that their army numbers in the hundreds.

Their regular soldiers are not shown, but their Elite Guard have personally aided the Forresters for a while, they are elite soldiers with the task of protecting their Lord and handle specific tasks for him (Elaena mentions that they were tasked to board a ship for the Reach for unknown reasons)

The Elite Guards don helmets that cover their entire head, exposing only their eyes, their bodies are clad by orange and brown studded leather armor with an orange shirt under it, their protection is further reinforced by a suit of chainmail worn under their main armor, A leather shoulder pauldron protects their left shoulder, while the forearm of their drawing arm, usually the right, is protected by an additional layer of leather armor; they also wear a pair of leather gloves and bracers, and a pair of brown leather boots.

They have shown a preference for engaging their targets at long range, which seems to be where they excel,

They are equipped with longbows and swords.
