Ser Jaime Lannister is the eldest son of Lord Tywin Lannister and a knight of the Kingsguard.

History

Jaime Lannister is the eldest son of Lord Tywin Lannister, the Lord of Casterly Rock. He is also younger twin brother of Cersei Lannister, and the older brother of Tyrion Lannister. He was involved in an incestuous relationship with Cersei, and unknown to most, was the biological father of her three bastard children, Joffrey, Myrcella, and Tommen Baratheon.

Jaime previously served in the Kingsguard of King Aerys II Targaryen, before infamously murdering him during the Sack of King's Landing]], earning Jaime the sobriquet of the "Kingslayer". He continued to serve in the Kingsguard of [[Robert Baratheon, and as Lord Commander of the Kingsguard for Robert's alleged son, Joffrey.

After Robb Stark and Edmure Tully rebelled against Joffrey, Jaime along with Tywin commanded the Lannister forces to invade the Riverlands. The forces led by Jaime were however smashed by the Stark army at the Battle of the Whispering Wood and Jaime was captured. Robb's mother Catelyn however set him free so he would help in freeing her daughters Arya and Sansa.
