Hey, just a heads up - the character portraits on their pages need to be from their most recent appearance, so please make sure it's their [charactername]106.png image. Some of them aren't as nice looking as previous portraits, but at some point I'll replay the game and try and snag some better ones.
When I went on hiatus the wiki was effectively dead and I was the only one working on it. I didn't even know people had picked it up again until someone sent me a message and I never heard anything back after responding so I assumed no one was particularly invested, especially after season two was canned. Apparently I was wrong, but that's no excuse to take that kind of tone.
I 'deserve that tone' for moving on from the wiki when I was the only one left and you yourself made no attempt to reach out to me and instead expected someone else to do it for you. The reason those pages were protected in the first place where to prevent people from needlessly changing statuses/portraits and seeing as you insist on battling me on that I don't exactly regret leaving them that way.
I appreciate that you've made an effort to keep the site going, but you can't honestly expect me to dedicate my life to this wiki and instantly be able to materialize brand new portraits instantly 4+ years into the game's afterlife.
I see your point, but I doubt anyone here plans on working on the wiki for the next 60-80 years. I don't have a lot of free time (my job gets in the way, for one) but I'm fine to let people continue working on the wiki so long as they adhere to the pre-established rules. I'm just trying to reach an understanding here but your attitude isn't making it easy.
And no one got back to me when I responded "you’re gonna have to give me a list and I’ll see what I can do" to the messag that was sent to me, so I assumed no one was particularly desperate. No one is blameless.
I literally just need someone to tell me what they want done (because I still haven't been told) and in turn for everyone to respect the guidelines of the page layouts.
All right, then how about this? How about you and me work together on improving this wiki further and further, and then we will forget about this mess and learn from our mistakes. I made a mistake, you made a mistake, now we're gonna fix it, you and me. Sound like an acceptable plan?
That sounds like the best course of action. I'll try and both locate my drive with all my screenshots from the game, as well as start it up again and try and get some better portraits for the characters.
I know this is weeks old, but I've gotta say. That is some grateful attitude when asking somebody for a favour. I honestly don't blame Jake for having those pages protected, especially after you made edits like this and continued torevert it when I and Jake tried to put it back to it's original look. It honestly looks like you're trying to paint him as the bad guy over the most immature reasons;
"Well where were you when this wiki desperately needed a fixing?" - He has a life of his own, you can't expect him to dedicate his whole internet hours on a wikia dedicated to a game that is no longer being supported by the creators. If you honestly expect somebody to sit on their computer and spectate any edits that occur on a wiki 24/7, then you really have no grip on reality, and that expectation honestly sounds like something a troll would demand someone to do.
"Because you more than deserve that tone." - So because Jake decided to walk away from a wiki that had barely been active in years, he deserves to be shamed for it? He has his own life and so do you. It's an honest joke that you believe someone should be harassed for dedicating their life to something else. Did he leave the wikia unsupervised? Certainly. But he did it for good reason AND took the precaution of leaving most of the pages protected to prevent them from getting vandalised any further. And after the pages got unblocked because you pestered Sannse (whom is a part of Staff) and insulted Jake in the process (which she even pointed out), you already tried vandalising the pages as I linked in the above.
Need I remind you that Jake created this wikia, it would not even be here for you to edit if it weren't for him, he took all the time to create nearly all of the pages on here that you see now. The least you could do is thank him for the way it already was when you arrived instead of giving him the attitude for not responding in adequate time when he was occupied with a life of his own.
To tell the truth, it's lucky enough that he's treating you nicely considering all you've done is harass him for not doing shit by the book. I honestly wouldn't blame him if he decided to block you for saying that shit and not appreciating his attempts to help you.
"The only reason why my attitude is difficult is because you're not helping me when I needed you all those weeks ago." - Really? Because it looks to me that you're doing anything but asking him for help like a human being. When I informed you of where you could get in contact with him after he left his account inactive, you didn't want to contact him and were like "bro I don't care where I can contact him is there somebody else who can do it?", that is unacceptable, if you expect others to do shit for you, then you are acting like a lazy spoilt brat. And when you finally decided to send him a message after telling me that you didn't want to for whatever reason, you did not bother listing what you wanted (according to jake anyway) and said something non-descriptive like "hey, can you unblock some pages that I'm not gonna list? :)", you can't expect people to read your goddamn mind, and I find it jarring how you expect people to read others too when you said the following to me "Well, what's the hold up? What's taking so long? You said he'll do it already." it's like you think everyone on this wiki is the same person.
You need to get your finger out of your ass and see things for how they actually are, because harassing people and expecting them to respond every 24/7 is extremely childish and unprofessional. If you really want the best for this wikia, you'll come to an actual official agreement with the rest of the community and not do things the way YOU want it. You'll get the images you desire yourself instead of bragging at other people to do it for you, UNLESS they have offered to screen grab any requested images. You won't proclaim constantly that you're "doing all the work", you'll appreciate everybody's efforts regardless of how big said efforts were.
Since you've decided to come to an agreement with Jake (which I'll admit is a start), we can see where this will go next and hope that everything will work the best as it can. Just next time do not shit talk people over doing small edits compared to yours, otherwise you can expect them to shit talk you back and could even possibly vote to have you blocked over arguing at them for not dedicating their lives into doing the same shit as you.
As I said, we'll see where this goes next, I hope you truly see your mistakes like you said you did.

Your point, asshole?
I find it funny how you've decided to leave only a three word comment to a lengthy message that doesn't even counter argue what was wrote. It goes to show that you know all of what I said is true, which further more increases my suspicion that you are a troll, if not a spoilt brat.
But anyway, in the case that you are not a troll, the point is that you're acting extremely immature and ungrateful, I've already wrote everything about it in the above, so I will not take the time to repeat it all.
Seems the admin protected almost every page here. I've gone though and unprotected all article pages. The only ones left are the main page, a user page, and template pages. I'll consider removing those if needed, but they tend to be targets for vandalism. so should stay protected for now.
No, it doesn't cost anything. Any wiki is a lot of work to maintain, moderate and grow, to be successful takes effort! You would have to wait at least a week (and be editing in that time) before you would be accepted.
Basically, it's just a way to get admin and bureucrat rights for an abandoned wiki.
Hey, um, I apparently accidentally made two pages about Beskha, with Beskha "Basilisk". It was actually supposed to be a rename of the original page. I already deleted everything and made that one empty, but how do I completely delete that page?
I would prefer the wikia not to be adopted by someone else.
I am still available to contact via the blog linked on my user page, but please understand that it has been 4 years since the subject of the wiki has seen an update, so naturally things have petered out. Those pages were protected as they were consistently vandalised and certain users have been abusing multiple accounts to circumvent bans for poor behaviour and vandalism.
Wikis belong to the editing community. So unless you are regularly active here, it's up to them to decide who should be admin. And if there isn't an active community, then staff will allow adoption.
I understand why you wanted to protect so many pages, but doing so is against Fandom's policies. Pages can almost always be improved and added to, and the community as a whole should have access to them (except for a short while during vandalism).
Unfortunately, the user that requested the pages to be unblocked only caused more vandalism to them and he has now been blocked. Further more, he has abused several accounts. And from what I gathered on the Villains wiki, he has made at least 9 accounts.
Jakest123 was justified to have those pages protected. As soon as that lock went off, they just got vandalised once again. Jake made this wiki, I think it would be best if he stayed in charge. This is a small wiki after all.
Speaking of the user who vandalised said pages, I've submitted a report in Special:Contact about them, I hope the issue can be sorted from there.
Well for starters, he made trolledits. When he was confronted on the matter, he tried justifying himself by harassing Jake due to his inactivity on the wiki, proclaiming that because he is "the one fixing this wiki", we have to "deal with" his behaviour, acting extremely entitled and narcissistic. Further more, he constantly demanded that I get him some images for this wiki despite me telling him that I'm busy IRL and have not edited on this wiki in a long time, which I got him some in the end.
He made a second account (which he admitted was him btw), and made the same edits as usual which included changing images on the character infoboxes back and fourth for literally no reason.
I got in contact with Jake and he took the liberty of blocking the user and reverting his edits. So the problem on this wiki has been solved.
But about the user entirely, I got into looking more about him. I discovered that he has also vandalised other wiki's and got into arguments where other long term users of said wikis would tell him to stop, but he'd justify his actions with a sense of narcissism. Examples are here, here and here.
I looked on the Villains wiki to find that all three of the accounts he edited on here with have all been permanently blocked for the same following reason: Sockpuppet of Titinak/Destroyer of Everything
I checked the IP block log of the Villains wiki, and discovered that he made at least 9 accounts and has been blocked each time merely for sockpuppeting.
So due to this person being an obvious rule breaker, I got in contact with Staff and gave them a brief run down. I got a response from George and he informed me that the user had indeed made a ton of ban evasions and that would look more into him. Suffice to say, the user has now been blocked globally, so we won't be seeing anymore of him now unless he gets a VPN, which I definitely hope won't be the case.
