Thermund was a member of House Forrester and the Lord's Sentinel prior to Duncan Tuttle or Royland Degore. He appears in Iron From Ice and is killed by Frey soldiers.
History[]
Thermund was a trusted advisor to Lord Gregor Forrester and acted as the Lord's Sentinel for House Forrester of Ironrath.

Thermund is seen celebrating with the other Forrester men at the Twins on the night of the Red Wedding. He mocks Norren's boastful claim of capturing the Kingslayer Jaime Lannister, stating that he only managed to get a hand around Jaime's ankle and was dragged for a great length across the battlefield before ten other soldiers took him down.
Lord Gregor Forrester soon comes out of his tent and questions Thermund if he is dounting Norren's honor. Thermund replies that he is only doubting his claim, and Lord Forrester soon joins the others in mocking Norren while pouring everyone around some wine to celebrate their recent victory at the Battle of the Whispering Wood.
Once Gared realises the Freys plan to attack his allies, he runs back to find Gregor and Rodrik. It appears that Thermund was shot in the back of the head with a crossbow bolt, killing him - suggesting that he was taken by surprise and killed as the Freys made their intentions known.

When Gared returns to Lord Gregor Forrester and Norren (as well as Bowen if he is alive) he sees that Thermund is one of the many bannermen shot dead with a crossbow bolt. Considering his corpse was located where he sat early, it is assumed he was among the first men who died and didn't have a chance to fight back.

- Thermund's name is not stated in-game, but it is located in the game files.
- Thermund is one of the characters voiced by JB Blanc, the others being Father Tuttle, Malcolm and Casper.
- If Gared doesn't make a toast in Iron From Ice, Thermund does it instead of him by saying "Iron From Ice".
- Thermund was Lord Gregor Forrester's Sentinel.[2]
Cut Content[]
- A cut voice line from Ethan Forrester gave Thermund's surname as "Harl"/"Harle".[3] As this line was cut, it cannot be taken as canonical.
